Description

Aboard the ship “Croix du Sud V“, we offer you a day trip to discover cetaceans off the coast and the Porquerolles island.

Starting with a 1h30 sailing to reach Porquerolles (passengers drop-off), you will leave the island right away for a trip off the coast to find wild marine animals. After that, you will stay 2h30 on the island to enjoy its picturesque village and sand beaches. Then you will get on board to return to Sanary.

Whale watching from Porquerolles provides excellent opportunities to encounter a few of the most emblematic sea giants. Just to name some of them, we have sperm whales, striped dolphins, bottlenose dolphins, risso’s dolphins, pilot whales and fin whales, the second largest animal on earth…

The team of scientists, naturalists guides and photographers from Découverte du Vivant delivers a conference on board, presenting the mediterranean cetacean species, their biology and protection measures.

A feedback of the trip will be sent to every participant, including pictures.

La Croix du Sud V is an eco-responsible whale watching operator, involved in the long term preservation of the cetacean populations of the Mediterranean sea. We were delivered the “High Quality Whale Watching” label by the Pelagos sanctuary for marine mammal conservation in 2012. It ensures a respectful approach of the animals, to disturb them as little as possible.
